Harenda is a delightful dish featuring a harmonious combination of potatoes and mushrooms. With earthy mushrooms complementing the hearty potatoes, this flavorful culinary creation offers a comforting and satisfying experience, making it a popular choice in various cuisines.

Ingredients (4 servings)

4 large potatoes, peeled and diced

9 oz. mushrooms, sliced

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Salt, to taste

Pepper, to taste

Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish

Preparation

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes. Boil or steam the diced potatoes until they’re just tender. Drain and set aside. In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook until they release their moisture and become golden brown. Add the cooked potatoes to the pan with mushrooms and onions. Stir gently to combine. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Add minced garlic and continue to cook for a few more minutes until everything is well combined. Garnish with fresh dill or parsley if desired. Serve the Harenda warm.
